My interest in media has led me to pursue a PhD in media psychology. My research focuses on the psychological dynamics of online, mobile, virtual and augmented reality environments. Specifically, I’m interested in digital media’s ability to influence and persuade perception and decision making. To date I’ve written various academic papers about topics that include: the neurobiological approaches to eliciting feelings in digital environments; the use of digital media to assist cognitive decline in older adults; and the influence of narrative in website sales.
The current and future media landscape are complex worlds. But these online, virtual and augmented reality environments are creating challenges and opportunities for brands and content providers. My theoretical knowledge combined with my solid experience in media is a powerful combination for your goals.
